I have a small narrow one car garage that my Tacoma barely fits in. I have less than 2 inches when my Tacoma is parked inside. Was wondering would you guys just not use the garage since it’s a risk of running into the back of my house every time I park? I’m currently using the tennis ball on the roof but even that is a little nerve wrecking every time I park.

that said, if I was in your situation I'd probably use the garage for my motorcycle/other stuff, or a different car. My tacoma has only seen the inside of a garage once since I bought it, and I regretted it as soon as I unpacked the truck because it only fit with all the weight pushing down the suspension lol

Place a 4x4 in the back of the garage so you know when to stop. I always back in, not only to the garage but any spot, but the 4x4 will work even if you park head in.

Reminds me of when my oldest son bought a new truck that barely fit in the garage in his brand new home. The front bumper had to be touching the front wall so he could close the garage door. I offered to remove the some sheet rock and notch out a couple of studs to give him a little more room. He said no, something about being a new house. Instead we put some old carpet on the front wall and put some visual markers on the side wall to help with his parking situation.

In today's time and the direction our society is heading, I would do what I could to park my vehicle inside. Have you thought about backing in to see if that makes is a little easier? Either way, put some old carpet or simular on the wall so when you open the door to the truck it has some protection.

Good luck, I hope you get it figured out.

I'd want my vehicle inside if at all possible.
I just found out at work today that someone cut the cats out of our work truck.

I love my new 30x30 garage at the house I just bought. Truck has tons of room, and the other stall is for my trailer to keep the yard looking nice and my motorcycle as well.

My old 97 Nissan pickup fit but it was a little tight. After that one got smashed, the space got taken up by stuff. I have too much stuff, and not enough time to deal with it. I was able to get rid of some of it by having a fire.

In addition to the tennis ball, you could put a little dot with a sharpie on your windshield. It’s barely noticeable, simply line up the dot to the ball.

Mine lives in the garage. Barely fits inches on the passenger side at best. Careful drivers side exit. Back in by brail-gentle bump means your home and the door will shut. Might fit better if I got rid of a bunch of stuff, but I might need the stuff...

They may have saved your garage if that fire hose wasn't kinked so bad. Sorry, but that was the first thing I noticed. Actually garage fires are the worst. You never know what's being stored in them. I've never lost personal property from a fire, but have been to quite a few. Sorry for your fire and lost property.

This. I got my Tacoma into the perfect spot with about 1" clearance to the door and put a 4x4 on the floor touching the rear tire. Tells me exactly where to stop and doesn't seem like it has moved at all despite many trips in and out. If I didn't use my garage for anything else I'd probably attach it to the floor in the perfect spot but I clear the trucks out and use the open bays for wood working often.

I should have specified, that was my shed. Or excess stuff storage. Lost 3 mowers, 2 weed eaters, a leaf blower, an antique sewing machine, some chairs, 4 aluminum rims, about 50 pots for plants, multiple shovels, pruners and tools.

It’s worst than it looks, the back has that tab that sticks out on the garage and I had my bumper scraped already on that when the garage door was coming down.

I did have one up but it made me really nervous to use so I took it down. I’m going with the 4x4 stops someone mentioned and someone else mentioned to put some carpet or padding on the wall route.
