I believe you are correct; I was taught that they should be stored on their wheels.

I have to hand it to folks that have an organized garage. When my son moved into his new home and I went into his garage I told him that it was a blank canvas. I'm fortunate to have a garage that I can park one of my three motorcycles, two cars and still have room for most of my stuff and at 68, I have a lot of stuff. The other two bikes are in a shop that I built in the backyard. Here's a few pics of my garage and one picture of my storage unit while I was in MS for 3 years right before I retired 8 years ago.

Great job OP and there are some might fine looking garages in this thread.

After going through this thread, i realize the tent storage is a cool idea, but dang the rest of my garage needs some attention. Haha

still need to rig something like this up for my canopy. but finding my truck topper on the floor falling 16ft to the ground in my shop might be a bit traumatic. but will probably happen at some point to keep the topper off the truck when im not using it!

I have something like this for my RTT, can be raised and lowered by hand crank or drill. Works pretty well, just need to ensure you’re attaching it well to joists. When I added up parts and cable it was easier and comparable $$ to just buy the system.

Yes there is. The dust collector was a pretty penny but it's so nice not having saw dust all over the place. Those are air hoses they are electrical reels. My compressor is off to the left out of camera view.

That’s a good question I had not thought about…. I don’t see anything in the instructions about storing them flat…can anyone chime in on this?

Some good ideas, but a garage sale to get rid of unused stuff goes a long way too.

I hang multiple jack stands off of one nail. Inverted, they fit inside each other. That way they remain protruding only one stand thickness out from the wall.
The adjustable tongues all come out and group together in the last inverted stand (or in a piece of 6" i.d. PVC). One nail, one spot on the wall.
