Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Finished it up today. I used black netting and already regret it! Probably rip it off and put chicken wire on it. Maybe next year if it lasts that long

We must be doing something wrong, since we dont get any Ghost peppers to grow. The last plant only grew about 8" tall and didnt produce anything. We've had good luck with jalapenos, cherry bomb, habaneros, thai peppers, and banana peppers, also bell peppers.

also at lowes or home depot we found a spicy green bell pepper, we planted one but it looked more like a poblano than a bell pepper, and not real spicy. It had a slight sensation of maybe being spicy. but not like a serrano or habanero...

It wasn't happy for some reason.
My habaneros aren't doing much yet, while my jalapenos, Anahiems, Chilenos and one of the red bells are doing well. Doesn't make sense... I think our squirrely weather is a big factor.

Got my wife’s garden plot done today. She runs a “littles” group here in our community (littles aka kids 5 and under)
Going to have some learning to do. We’re city folks and have no idea how to garden!

Someone else on here suggested hog panels so I bought one and it works like a charm. I'll get two more next year and stand them on end.

    Excellent idea.
Not sure where I can get that ,do you have any suggestions? And how big are the pieces do they come in? I have two bean plants I could probably cut one of those pieces in half to make it work

I paid about $8 for a 4x8 panel at Tractor Supply.

They come in different lengths. Some places will cut them for you if they are too long to haul. The place I got mine from only had 16 foot lengths. They also work great for racks in my greenhouse.

I have a tomato cage there for now. Last year I took two tall stakes and drill holes in them and put snow plow stakes through them to make a ladder and it crawled up that OK with a little help from some string.

Does anyone know if I could put this ghost pepper where I have it placed with these zucchini and summer squash plants? One summer squash will be moved to a different bed that a had intended for the pepper. Was concerned about root crowding as part of my indecisiveness.

Thinking about putting squash here in this bed with eggplant and tomato . Thoughts?

Squash takes up a lot of space unless you make it climb.

Sprinklers continued. After I let all the glue dry for a few hours I started opening up the system and checking for leaks. All was well until I opened up the main to the far side front yard that hasn't been hooked up for years. Oh wow! two unknown sprinklers suddenly came to life and pushed their way up thru the earth. I had to shut it down and do some digging thru rocky dirt and lots of tree roots from a 30 pine tree between them to cut and cap them off.

With that out of the way I was able to wire up the two new valves and they work.

My one year old Royal Rainier Cherry tree just ripened up it's one and only cherry this year. It was most excellent. I hope for more next year.

I have never tried but found this...

Squash Plants for Trellis Growing. The best varieties for squash trellising are delicata, acorn, zucchini, and yellow summer. The smaller squashes and gourds do well but winter squash, like turban and butternut, can become too heavy and large for a successful vertical garden without additional support.Apr 5, 2018

Don't put the pepper with all those squash plants. Squash (zucchini is a type of summer squash) has huge leaves, and would completely crowd it out. It will be crowded enough with just four squash plants. You will have to guide them out over the edge of the box in separate directions as they grow to get four to fit. I pepper in the middle would have no chance.
