My wife loves blueberries and we pick them when visiting Maine. Both of my attempts to grow them failed.

    >>Lots of blueberries <<

Those are nice Blueberries. I had four varieties in large containers about 5 years ago about the same size as yours. They were getting large enough that the wind toppled them over a couple times so I decided to put them in the ground. They died pretty fast since the PH here is way to high for them.

Thanks , they do well like every other year . From what I have researched they like a high acidity fertilizer. I feed them that and some Holly Tone berry fertilizer.

I know I'm quoting an old post, but it is relevant. This method really intrigued me. I tried this method on five beds last year, and was happy with the results. The real test was this year not tilling those beds, and seeing how things went.

I planted early crops in three of those beds. I just raked the surface a little to make it easier to plant the seeds, and planted. Well they were doing so well I converted my entire garden. I have 15 beds, all are 30 inches wide, and vary from 10 to 16 feet long.

I bought several rolls of 36 inch wide black plastic that I use to cover the beds when nothing is growing in them. It's real handy to be able to cover some beds and not others. If I get a bed that gets particularly over run with weeds I could easily take it out of production for a year and leave it covered. That would really knock the weeds out.

Less weeds, no tilling, and better crops, what's not to like. So far it's looking to be one of the best garden years I've had.

I’m getting a little impatient with my pole beans . They are climbing and not flowering yet . I was weekly neem oiling them as I had signs of cucumber beetles and I’ve seemed to have done well with that and now the wait . Cucumbers are taking off nicely

Is there anything you can put on your yard to keep yellow jackets out? I just found nest #7 this morning. I may find 1-3 nests per year, but never 7, and it’s only mid July.

It’s turned off dry for the last couple of weeks maybe, this spring was one of the wettest on record here.
