Verdict on my tree is it’s diseased and needs to come down. Fortunately was told I can wait a few months so I’m gonna enjoy the shade it provides that side of the house until the fall.

it looks like a Bradford. they don't last long, maybe 25-30 years, and they're fragile in the wind. I've lost two of them at my property and trimmed back another aggressively cus it sits right over my truck, and i didn't want the high winds around here to teach me a lesson. they are nice trees especially when they bloom, but in NTX at least they're not considered long-timers. I've already got some young trees planted around the other Bradfords for when they leave us.

not sure if i'm going to put something in its spot yet or not, that side of the house is along the driveway so it'd make a great spot for a trailer pad haha

Never had this many before lol the tree is only 6 years old and the climate here usually includes a series of frosts while the flowers are on
We’ll eat the very best ones fresh and the rest will be peeled and either frozen or canned. I’m thinking of doing a crockpot full of peach butter and canning that too

the peelings will go to an acquaintance to be fermented and distilled lol

Eating them in the dead of winter frozen or canned will make them taste twice as good knowing they are homegrown... :jellydance: :santa:

My wife and I have some fun discussions about when the watermelons are done. This one was done a few days ago but picked today. Very delicious still!

Very true, but no one is propping up limbs to support fruit weight around here. That's just impressive on a whole other level.

My tomato plants seem to have taken over the garden and killed the spaghetti squash so I had to harvest them all.

Some variety of Concords I think. I planted them 12 years ago but I have the tags around here somewhere!
