Picked wild berries on my property, never tried to transplant. My kids are my berry pickers, and more berries get picked with the thornless ones :).

All blackberries like acid soil. If I were to transplant, I would do it in the fall. Summer is too hard on the plants here. Water transplants once a week with Quick Start.

That it, let the wife do the dirty work.

If I get into gardening I'm put my 2 kids to work. Nothing will survive.

I just mowed between my raised beds. That's my weed control plan.

Weeds in the bed are easy to spot and pluck quickly

    First pic?

Italian parsley in the left most two lower squares. 3 middle to right are carrots. Lower right is cilantro. Two empty bottom middle were broccoli-raab, all ate up. Started new raab in upper left two squares that held radishes all gone. Back right are snap peas.

This has been a very productive 4x4 plot. The others are 4x8.

I have pulled a few carrots. LONG Perfect straight amazing sweet flavor. This might be one of the best aspects on raised beds if your soil has any rocks at all. I started by tilling the patch, but soon said F it! Spent the big money on 2x4's!

Our glacial alluvial soil is good, but dang our hill has many (nice) rocks.

Riased beds have so many benefits.

    This one

    20220614_060624.jpg

I got vegetation like this going in the yard. Flowers, plants growing that I can't get rid of. I tried pulling them but keep on growing. Then I got curious and started digging. This time I dig it out by the root ball.

Post a picture. You can even use an app to identify what plant/weed it is.

Yes that picture is as I described. say starting from top left going right and down. Cannot see shorter rows in back.

Started new raab in upper left FOUR squares.

    16 squares, no weeds.

Mined are built out of 4x4, 4 layers tall. Both wife and I have bad backs, so it is easier to weed and plant. And they are steady enough that we can sit down and work.
My soil is GA clay and rocks. Weeds grow great in it, and they overpower everything else.

I can't post a picture because no more weeds left. I have crap going where grass once was.

I thought you have 2 different type of plant in the 1st planters box. That's a lot plant going on in 1 box.

Roses are even like that. Nasty shrubs sure. But not veggies. Look up companion planting.

Current setup. Corn is really getting tall and tasseling. Okra is now producing even though plants are only knee high. Tomatoes are also producing but green still. Sugar snap harvest is not bad. This today's harvest.
Sweet potatoes are doing alright, but lost one. There is a hole where it used to be. I am still fighting a mole or vole problem.
