I got a vole with the mower the other day. I'm not a bad person but it made me happy looking down and seeing only half It's face remaining. F those things.

I didn’t know there was gardening section. How can I be a better plant keeper person? Everything I plant dies. I can germinate and get some life and a little growth to wild flowers or sunflowers and other floral plants but I can’t keep them alive or make them grow bigger.
I live in the desert southwest town of El Paso. Halp please.

Great looking set up. I like the stonework.

    Is it a business?

The reason I ask is because of the feet marks in paint usually marking the direction to walk.

    Usually businesses does these thing.

My allergies would be going crazy.

Let’s go try to kill a yucca plant! I’m gonna try spraying it with vinegar and covering it with black plastic first. I hate the thoughts of trying to dig out all the bulbs. If that don’t work, maybe a bigger dose of vinegar with some Epsom salt mixed in.

I'm growing Orange Zingers this year. Quite a bit larger than normal cherrie tomato's. Picked the first three today and lots more on the vine.

Little backyard garden is taking off. Got a fence up to stop the dogs from this half of the yard and was able to do a practical one vs a container garden this year. Jalapeños are producing like crazy. Tomatoes are about to be, a TON of green ones. The zucchini is massive and tastes better than the store. Some of my seeds didn’t germinate for some reason on the shorter half of the garden but they’d probably have been squeezed out by the others.

In front yard I have blueberry bushes that are about to give me all sorts of berries here soon. I have all set up on a simple soaker hose and timer to run every morning (wife killed half of the containers last year when I was out of town for a week)

Enough water, good dirt, fertilizer, are you planting at the right time of year? Good luck.

Maybe the more water thing… I planted at the very start of spring when people say it’s the best time to plant lol. I really have no idea what I’m doing. I’ll try to get some more fertilizer too.

From your location, I'm guessing summers are hot and dry.

    1) Pick the right plants for your climate
    2) Start small so it doesn't turn into work and drudgery.
    3) Start a mulch pile and mulch your garden generously. Using mulch around your plants limits the weeds, cools the soil, and helps retain moisture so you use way less water. Also, working the mulch into the topsoil at the end of the season will really improve your soil.

I’m watching the grapes grow on the shade arbor and drinking grape juice and gin from last year's harvest, life is good right now.
