80 bags of pine nuggets later....
Both figs were heavily limed in the fall and just before the nuggets were put down, to lower the acidity of the soil.

I keep mentioning water pearls/soil moist that we put in the raised beds and in the ground with plants.
This is 4 Tablespoons of pearls in a 5 gal bucket, after soaking for 6 hours. There is almost no water left. Busket is full of 1/2" jello pieces.
Now imagine all that water feeding the roots in the worst of July heat.

    piddly stuff
This green house has ended up as another rabbit hole. Hot cold hot cold temperature regulation has been interesting. I ran power into it with conduit and in use covers. Installed a digital thermostat that wil regulate hot and cold just working with the heater right now

put a shade cloth on it as even today with moderate temps it got up to 103 I had to adapt for the roof vent

Made up a screen for the vent window to keep the bugs out and put a safety chain on it to help stop any wind from ripping it off

she has lots of stuff started in there garden is plowed gotta disc it we don’t plant u til Mother’s Day

We put in 18 tomatoes in, 12 large and 6 small salad size, radishes, onions, zucchinies.
Need to load the soil in the last bed, it will get cukes, and radishes, watermelons and carrots on another side.
Stand alone containers will get peppers and cantalope.

Potatoes are 6", 8" tall. Will till and pile soil around them this weekend.

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
I moved the compost bin. It was full/// Three barrow loads...
Garlics are up! and looking great.
We ate "fresh" kale all winter long, and it's greening up again nicely now.

I don't think that little watering can is going to cut it, though.

21 acres. Garden is 75’x125’. Little watering can was to water the plants I set out. Have a sprinkler system but it’s fed off the well and not enough pressure to run all 10 heads, have to do a quadrant at a time. Been saying I was gonna run a pump from the pond for the last 5 years and somehow manage to never do it.

Got a soaker rain here today so hopefully right on time and didn't seem hard enough to wash seed out of the ground. Temps a little low the next day or so but hopefully will return to normal so seed germinates.

It's official. My other apricot tree is dead. It froze to the core. That area is good for nothing but the heartiest evergreens.

Other corner of property my fig trees do show some signs of life, but I am pretty sure I will never get any figs.
