I went and bought the little weed whacker one a few years back, once I went to raised beds. The other one would chew through concrete if you let it.

Did a harvest last night. Finally got a couple that I didn't try and kill by overdosing with nutes. Ocean Forest seems kind of strong still, got signs of nitrogen toxic on the taller of the 2. Only ever put water into the container. Going to try the Happy Frog with the next, which will be very soon as I started soaking 2 Wed night and by this morning, both have popped open.

I can almost see my garden beds through the snow now. Another 2 weeks or so and I should be able to at least get the cold frames tilled and planted with some cold-hardy crops. Wonder how my Parsnips fared over the winter; I've been craving fresh parsnips lately.

I had some rodent eat the tops of the carrots out, ruined all of them. They looked good, but unfortunately I wont be eating any winter carrots :( Im going to have to put out traps and get rid of the vermin.

I got about half of the deck done for the floor of our greenhouse, still lots of digging left to do to get the clearance for the floor joists I want. I dont want any dirt touching the floor joists eventhough it is pressure treated. I just think they will last longer if its off the ground. Once I have that done I can put the top deck on and then start assembling the greenhouse. I rested today as I am sore from yesterday ;)

Try something different this time, Cyco Wormix. Get away from the Fox Farm soils.

    I gardened. And modded, yesterday.

Amen to that. I use a small (Troy-Bilt Colt) front tine tiller to get between the rows after stuff is growing, and it wears me out after doing the whole garden. I prep my garden and lay off my rows with this (below). It's also a reverse rotation, so it digs well, and "herds" small rocks to the end of the row, instead of throwing them out the back so I have to contend with them the next time.13-The Beast.jpg

anyone have problem with mold on peat pots? This is on starter pots for seedlings, had some starts that are getting moldy on the sides and top of the soil, might have to restart...

Too much moisture. Let the pots dry out more between waterings.

How bad is the mold? Just a few wisps, or has it taken over?
Edit- Oh, and what color/texture is it? White, Pink, or Tan?

If the plants are growing OK just keep going. If not, start over.

No biggie just let em dry out al lil

Some mold can be beneficial in organic gardening but in your case it’s an indicator that your soil’s too wet and your plants are in danger of damping off

Smelled funky when I opened up the wine cooler fridge yesterday. Been a while. I totally forgot about leaving some potatoes in there to help grow some eyes. Well...adaptation.

If I remember right white mold is ok, but it's an indicator that the conditions are right to start growing bad mold (the pink and tan stuff). Just start running your pots a little drier and you should be all set.
