Just got my seeds started last weekend. Late start this year, but up until this past weekend it kept snowing on my gardens, lol.

So how cold are you talking about? Broccoli can handle quite a bit of cold.

My broccoli just started sprouting yesterday along with the first batch of green onions I planted and the green beans. Lettuce has already been up for over a week and the heat we've had the past couple days has the peas already reaching for the trellis. I need to get out and plant a second round of lettuce, green onions and carrots.

Broccoli would handle that just fine.
I haven't put my broccoli starts out yet, not because of cold, but because of snow. An inch or so won't usually hurt it, but more will usually crush the plants. The forcast was calling for five inches of snow two days ago, but we didn't end up getting that much. Well it did snow a lot, but it mostly melted after hitting the ground. The forcast from here out looks promising, so I am going to put them, along with my onion starts out tomorow.

10-4. I hadn’t tilled or done anything to the beds yet either. No biggy, they’ll be fine getting them in this weekend. I rarely get them in before this week or next, and they do well.

Self-fruitful - no pollenizer needed. Large, nearly black, richly flavored sweet cherry similar to its parent, Lambert. Late harvest. 400 hours. Pollinates Bing, except in mild winter climates. USDA Zones 5-9.

    Rainier
Large, yellow with red blush. Sweet and flavorful. Very cold hardy. Midseason harvest. 700 hours. Pollenized by Van, Lambert, Lapins, Black Tartarian & Bing. USDA Zones 5-9.

Dave Wilson Nursery has a great site with easy to get to info on many fruit and nut trees.

Amazing. The foliage front and center was part of the Frankenstein bunch. It has already caught up in size.

The foliage on the right was also part of that bunch. 6335640F-61E8-4F38-8FC9-A044A50C028C.jpg

Got my broccoli, Brussels sprouts, onions and leeks transplanted out to the garden today. That's the last of the stuff that can handle cold planted. All that's left it stuff that can't handle frost, and we have over a month before that can go in.

Got the rest of the garden tilled up and covered with plastic. It helps kill weeds. that's where I'm going to plant all the stuff that can't handle frost about a month from now.

Garlic is looking good :kona:. First row of radishes are ready to harvest. Spinach and chard are going slooooow. I built a new bed so I can rotate my tomatoes.

Brought these baby roses back into the greenhouse to nurse them back to health. In one week, she’s looking good.

These started to grow on their own. Transferred some soil from the compost bin.

Tilled all five beds, added a bag of fertilizers/soil to each. We ordered some mulch the other day, as I planned to mulch the garden as well, to add some bulk back to the soil. We may have bought too much, so I added it heavy to the beds hoping to keep the weeds at bay. We then flew a kite for a while.
