Just came across a new in-dash cam online so I thought I'd start a tread on it to get some feedback on what people are using. Been looking for an in-dash option for sometime now and this looks like it could be a viable option. Anybody have another option that they are using now, that they would say is better? They have two options the $250 with GPS and the $220 without. I've seen some other off brand in-dash cams that are much less expensive and do the same thing but I guess since its Garmin you're paying for the name.

Ok, I read what they are for. Its cool, but not sure why I would want to record my 6 minute drive to work. I could see if you lived in LA or a major city so you could prove the guy actually cut you off or whatever. If it lowered your insurance premiums, then i too would use my go pro. I have never been in an accident in my 30 years of driving, knock on wood!!

Ya my first thought was go pro, but for me to buy an in-dash system I think I would want it wired to the ignition to come on with the turning of your key and record in a loop feature that would continuously delete the oldest video to make room for the new stuff, since its primary function would be for capturing accidents. A kind of set-it-and-forget-it until you needed it type of liability protection.
