Not really going anywhere. I was looking at how to clean/what to do to make them look nice and didn't find anything on the forums so I decided to start one

I have that to paint. I'd like to sand in there though

Ahhh, they sell flap sanding wheels for your cordless drill that are cylinder shaped. I use them at work. Should do the trick.

Yea I saw those too. They usually have hem for drimmel but I saw some for drill. Found the sander for a few bucks so may get both to see what works better

Also put another coat on the leafs I had done. Need to start on the other two.

Going to try the drum sander to sand out the eyes

Did some work to he big leafs today

    Image1462734682.917171.jpg

Also if you want to do this I'm going to suggest a small hand sander. Got mine for $40 and an angle grinder with plenty of flap discs. I went through about 15 or so. Also get a mask

    Image1462734776.472129.jpg

    Image1462734826.442196.jpg

Also these work great. Better than I thought. Couldn't find the flap disc one but wouldn't have used it. Get different sizes so you can get to all the rust inside the eyelit

This was the before. The top was in the middle then after painting.

Been getting quite a bit done. I've been painting as much as I can to get everything covered in the paint. Using more than I expected but it doesn't bother me.

This worked great for sanding the inside "eyes". Make sure to get different sizes in order to cover a larger area and get the rust off.

Like I said. A lot of painting haha

Well after a lot of trial and error with different products and techniques.

    They are finished

I decided to use grade 8 bolts and nuts. May throw a locking on on there as well to be safe or a different but. But they are done and the swap will be happening July 2nd.

If you have any questions for me on what I did or how I did something for the Chevy 63 restoration. Please feel free to post on the thread so others who may have questions can see as well.
