So this is a strange question but something I heard in passing before. My check engine and traction control lights will not go away, and it’s now affecting my 4wd. The 4LO light will start blinking shortly after or as soon as I start the truck(while in 2wd) and won’t go into 4wd at all, even when the light is not blinking. Now I’m not sure that is related to my gas cap being bad, but worth mentioning, I think. I heard some time ago that maybe it could be my gas cap not being sealed correctly or something to that effect maybe causing it. Is that anything anyone has experienced before?

    That won't cause your issues.

Scan it for codes. Then let us know what you have.
We can better help you then.
