My gas gadge isn’t working right. It seems to be decreasing the amount of gas I have really slow, When my tank is almost empty it still says I have around 1/4 of a tank. The only reason I noticed this is because I use the trip so I know how far I’ve driven on a tank of gas. Does any one know what the reason for this is/ how to fix it?

How much gas are you putting in at 1/4 tank? Are you calculating your actual gas mileage?

Well normally my gas light turns on around 420 kilometres and the last time I filled up I was at 410 km and I put 55 liters in, but the gadge was still at 1/4. And the 4cyls only have a 60 liter tank

You can’t really go by how many miles you’ve gone. Gas mileage can vary quite a bit depending on what you are doing.

Ether way with 4-5 liters left in the tank the gadge shouldn’t read at 1/4 or alittle above

The second gens have an 80 liter tank. Or somehow I've managed to fit 12 extra liters in there from time to time.....

    Mine's a 2009 2.7 4x4 5spd.

Your gauge seems accurate to me.

Maybe I guess but I don’t think I ever put any more then 60 liters in because I fill up when my light is on and that’s showing me right on the empty line but if your saying it’s an 80 liter tank there’s a possibility maybe is was messed up before and the gas light use to come on to early. It just seemed like all of a sudden it was going way slower the it use to.
