Gas Issues

Filled up my truck yesterday and the needle never rose in my fuel gauge. Figured it would take a while. Start up my truck and drive a few miles down the road and my truck stalls out and won’t start up. I put 20 gallons of gas in so I know there’s gas in there, so I’m curious what the issue is. Any ideas?

 

If the needle never moved, it sounds like an electrical issue at the tank.

 

Sending unit and/or fuel pump issue.

 

Check your Vin, to see if yours is part of fuel pump recall.

 

I have gas issues too. Gotta cut back on the taco bell.

did you get it going or did you have to tow it?

 

Being that the tank size on a Tacoma is 21 gallons, if you put 20 gallons in you were either way past the DTE hitting zero and the low fuel light being on for 50 miles or so before you filled up and possibly damaging the fuel pump /or the tank got overfilled at the pump.

 

Gas poured out the same hole the thieves drilled.
