I couldn't find anything on here with my problem so here i am first time poster. I have a V6 2014 tacoma trd. And I have a decent sized puddle of gas right behind my rear passenger tire. I cant see where the leak is coming from but it is coming out pretty fast. I just drove it from FL to AZ in the past couple of days so im just glad it got me here. Thanks in advance

Weird location. That’s where the exhaust terminates. Gas tank is on the other side and forward of the rear tyres. Sure it is raw gasoline?

hx989, that was my first thought that its a weird place and im sure its raw fuel. I looked around in there for like 10 minutes but found nothing. My only other thought is that its the filler neck problem i saw on here and its just traveling down to where its getting on the ground

Its behind the tire. And now that i think about it, it was very slightly discolored like a yellow tint to it. Unless gasoline does have a little yellow tint to it. Other than that it looks like raw gasoline

    smell like gas?
    taste like gas?
    burn like gas?
the only way I could see gas that far from the fuel system would be a pinhole in the fuel line that's squirting it over there

    Couple questions.
1- did you smell it or just look at it?
A byproduct of a functioning emissions system is water.
2- was this seen when idling/shut down after running cold?
Truck will run richer when cold and you can get unburnt gas through the system.

It is a very hard place to get a gas leak, which makes me think it has more likely water from the exhaust with residual gas.

Any large dogs in the area claiming their territory?

Have you verified its fuel? Roll the truck forward away from the puddle, touch a lit match to the puddle. Does it ignite?

If you can see that it’s leaking, just find out where it’s leaking from?
