Gas light level

I am pretty sure my truck doesn’t have one but how does one tell besides looking for the light to come on?
This is my fuel pump when I replaced it last

 

When the gas really low it comes on.





But for real if you get a bright flashlight and or a laser pointer you can shine it on the cluster and partially illuminate blacked out indicators which should include a low fuel light.

Ideally though you should never see the low fuel light as you should be refueling at 1/8-1/4 tank to ensure the pump is staying cooled.

Post a picture of your cluster may help.

 

I have done the walk of shame with a gas can in my hand,
No light came on,

What section is it in?
So if there is a bulb in there it has one?

Are you sure because I don’t have an Elocker but I have a bulb in that spot that I borrowed for my hand brake light when it went out.
I didn’t check for a gas light tho

 

You have the same dash I do, it'll be in the middle left, around the 1/2 way mark of the gas guage. My bulb burnt out about 4k miles ago, is should come on when you hit the reserve mark. I don't know where it is on the 15gal tank but on my 18gal it's with 2 gal remaining.


I have yet to fix my bulb and have never removed the fuel pump so regretfully I have no insight there
