i have seen several threads for mpg's as well was a chart with both city and highway comparison so i decided id to check my mileage to compare. first some back ground about the test vehicle.... 2010 reg cab 4x4 with the 2.7 engine in it. it had about 5700 miles on it and it does have an undercover tonneua on the bed. stock steel rims and stock tires. first tank was around town drivin back and forth to work etc speed limit 45 and some red lights to stop at. im only about 4 miles from work and on most morings ill start the truck and let it run for a few minutes before leavin. that tank was 19.6 mpg. this past weekend we went over to pigeon forge tenn from our home near asheville. speed on highway was 60ish on avg. done some drivin while there mostly around town and some of the back roads.filled up today and got 25.3 mpg on that trip. that being said ive come to the conclusion that a tonneua around town might give you a small difference but on the highway its well worth it to have one on. hope this helps anyone with milage questions. sorry this was so long winded

Bought my 2002 Pre Runner 2.7 DblCab in Jan. Since, I averaged 17 mpg on the first tank with about 150 miles in two road trips. The rest was city driving with warmups because it was cold.

I replaced plugs, installed K&N, removed the factory snorkel and averaged about 18 city driving with warmups. The plugs replaced were really bad.

On this tank it seems even better but I won't know for a while. but I predict about 19mpg.

City driving for me is on the extreem low efficient mpg because my trips are only 3-5 miles so I don't drive far enough to get any real efficiency out of the vehicle.
