    Good morning.

I own a totally stock 2020 TRD Sport with 6-speed manual transmission. The only alteration has been to add an ARE camper shell. Milage is 36,000 range.

On a recent 700-mile round trip to the Overland Expo in Virginia, I averaged around 26 MPG, typically driving the speed limit or a couple of miles per hour under. Terrain was generally gentle rolling hills along the interstate. I'm curious how this compares to others Tacoma owners??

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Ah a gas mileage thread, must be Friday.

Joking aside, its all driver and setup dependent. More armor, gear, lifts, large tires, hilly driving, your mother in the passenger seat, a slight head or cross wind, driving over 55mph, and/or a heavy foot all lead to poor gas mileage. Don't do those things and you can get pretty decent mileage for a midsize.

    That's about it Forrest.

I'd be happier than a pig in shit if I got 19 mpg! I don't know what you are doing to get 26 mpg! But whatever it is, keep doing it.

Just completed a round trip from western NY to St Louis (about 1500 miles round trip) and got 22 MPG @ an average speed between 69 to 75 mph. This is on a 2021 TRD Sport 4X4.

    This !
I've had 3 of these trucks. Everyone of them got different milage. Same engine and automatic stock, my 19 I couldn't get over 19. Driving habits the same, the 16 and 21 I can get in that lower mid 20's 23-24 driving less than 70. 70-85 I don't worry about it because I got to get there at a set time and that's not often. The worst I've gotten with this truck was 8 pulling a heavy twin axle 4000 lb 7x14 trailer in 4th in a 40 mph head wind. Trying to maintain 50 -55 mph on the interstate.

Mileage is the ever elusive number. Anything over 20 (without wife pushing from the back)(haha) is reasonable. I wonder what engine you have. 4 or 6

I don’t know why we need more gas mileage threads when there are already soooo many of them but yes, I also average in the low-mid 20’s for MPG on long highway trips.

I'm still searching for a way to put together the ultimate Friday thread by somehow combining oil changes, gas mileage, and is it totaled into one topic:anonymous:.

What's the punchline? I see someone who likes peanut butter, chicken, and nitrile gloves, and their first card didn't scan.

I just picked the first image from a group provided by others. I did not look closely.

So I guess I could ask ... Is it really totaled?
