Did an exhaust reroute and put full Pelfreybuilt aluminum skids on today. Probably gonna hurt.

Just put this steel plate in, and the last two plates as soon as my reroute is finished. Cant wait to see my MPG now also. Have you noticed any changes yet? Its like adding a full time passenger, even with aluminum on.

I am scheduled for the reroute too, how is yours working out? I am thinking of putting a $30 flange just forward of the Y so that side can be easily dropped for tranny/ driveline work. Think it would be worth it?

Man it seems perfect and the skids mounted easy peasy! Seems like everything is accessible. Super stoked

Maybe the streamlined bottom will help with MPG’s, right? :)

It's hard on gas here in ny, with all the hills. I am improving slightly and that's taking it easy, 17mpg from 15.5mpg? Still can't use cruise control, because it plummets.

Not sure if serious but 4 miles doesn't mean anything. Trucks barely warmed up by then. There was a 30 mile best mpg thread once. That was a good test length

I ran my 2018-TRD-OR-4X4 down the Tamiami Trail and Hwy 1 from Fort Myers to Key West and achieved 23 plus mpg. Speed range from 45-65 mph, lots of traffic in the keys. On the second tank coming back I fueled in Florida City, at 400 trip miles awe pumped 17.1 gallons confirming just better than 23 mpg. After fueling I took I-75 across Alligator Alley at 85 mph and dropped the mileage below 18 mpg. I'm still running that tank and I'm up in the 19 mph range now.

The dynamic cruise control was a leg saver. I just set it 6-10 mph over the traffic speed and it paced the car in front of me all the down and back. 10 hours of driving that day. Lots of Tacoma in the Keys, no one waves.

I don't think we get any winter gas here and the temp was around 80 degrees the whole trip. Only mods is 5100 bilstein's with 2" front lift, caliraised light bar and Tyger bedcover. I thinking I'll keep the stock tires and wheels for a while.

I made a short video from Florida City to the buoy in Key West. Eight minutes of your life you'll need get back:

Maybe don't drive 75+ mph with oversized tires, and put your air dam back on maybe? I'm playing. But seriously, I can get 26+ mpg with mine on the freeway driving 65mph on flat highway and smart use of engine braking and coasting downhill.

Man I've averaged 14.2-15.5mpg over the last 5 fill ups. Not sure whats going on. The best I've ever done when driving to get best mpg is about 19mpg over a whole tank. I cant get over 20.1 for any length of time. Also cruise control wrecks my mpg on highway driving but i guess its better than a speeding ticket. The 265/70r17 ko2 with 17 pro wheels, leer topper with roof racks and oem roof rack probably doesn't help.

I tried that with ACC 'on' and only got the hourly display. How do I get the daily display?

Another thing to remember is we all bought trucks, not a Prius. It’s never going to get great mileage. Drive it and enjoy it. Many of us lift, add tires, etc so the mileage will suffer. It’s just the price of playing the game.

Just a thought. Maybe do the MPG old school way and see if it is accurate?
