Everybody's "city" is different. If there's traffic lights every 300' you're going to use more gas than if the lights are 1/4 mile apart.

I clicked off at the pump both times. 85 miles and 8 gallons

Check tire pressure and then get out the tape measure and check alignment. That could rob your mpg. And its free

I would go longer before filling up. 85 miles is not really enough to get a very accurate calculation. Drive it until it gets down to around a quarter of a tank and then fill up and see what you are getting.

I dont want to beat this to death , but I just bought this a month ago. And it was certified. Hopefully they went through the whole truck like they were supposed to.

That's weird maybe a tune up? I get 15-16 town an 18.5 highway.

All this comes down to driving style. If you drive the truck like a bat out of hell your going to get shitty mileage. I've squeezed 17mpg city by not going over 2500 rpm. I'm also turning 35 inch tires. I've also got single digit mpg by driving it like I stole it. More info is needed before you start throwing parts at your truck. Heavy tires and extra weight will take away fuel economy. If your heavy on the right pedal, this is also a factor. And more than 85 miles is required to calculate average miles per gallon.

I drive an 01 with M/Ts and still generally get around 15mpg in the city with A/C on. 10mpg definitely seems low.

15-16 city and 17-19 highway here. The V6 will drink gas quickly when it goes over 2500 RPM.

Did you figure out the issue with your gas mileage? See any improvement?

I get about 14 mpg in the city, not that great, i recalculated by using a whole tank and then refueling.

I get about 19 with my regular cab 2.7L. Mostly highway. 10 mpgs is really bad. My deuce and a half gets about 10 mpgs.
