I keep my tires around 36 PSI cold.

It helps a shit load over 32 PSI I use to keep them at.

I am at 16.5 average my first 600 miles. I had C load 265/70/17 KO2’s on in the first tank of gas so I doubt I will see over 20 ever but hoping to average 18 during the summer. Much better then my V8 4Runner which was around 13.5.

I’m getting 18 if I’m lucky. All stock with MT and I drive sensibly.

Just to add another data point to this thread... I've only had two full tanks of gas since I bought it and have averaged about 18 mpg (calculated the old fashion way). Stock OR tires with 35 psi in all 4. My commute is 70% country roads (~50 mph) and 30% college town (some stops lights, little traffic). As soon as the temperatures warm up and the winter-grade gas goes away, I'm confident this average will increase a bit.

took a pic today after driving my normal morning route to work. Seems to be getting better with more miles. This is my first check on my MPG in a few tanks of gas. On top of everything else I quoted I haven’t checked tire pressure and the info screen is usually showing 32-35 psi. And I let the truck warm up for about 1 minute before leaving my garage.

I drive 95/5 % in town vs highway. A lot of short trips. Winter, I'm mid 18's and dipped to 17.1 on one tankful when it was pretty cold (well cold for north Texas) Summer mid to high 19's, with an occasional 20. I drive like an old lady.

I was getting 17mpg for the first 1k miles, but then it came up to about 19.5mpg. I drive like an old man and always have but I also live in a hilly area so I know I wont get the top mpg. I bought a truck so I never expected great mileage in the first place, but I do understand some frustration from others that arent getting anything even close to the sticker on a stock truck.

My 2017, with no add-ons...4x4 OR...27 mile commute each way primarily on 3 lane highway would average about 20.5 to 21mpg with normal driving (70mph).
Spirited driving would drop it into the 19.5-20.2mpg range typically).

I get around 14mpg, which seams about right for my drive. I have a 11 mile commute that takes 30 to 40 minutes. I only get to freeway speeds for a 3 mile stretch in the middle, and I have to cross elevation in the (home is 450ft to 1000ft to 200ft at work).

My last car was a Mazda3 that was rated 22city/29hwy and I averaged 18.

My truck is still new and it came with Duratracs. Right now I’m at 31 psi cold and a 25 mile drive home from work that’s about 1/3rd Highway I was just over 20mpg but I was also driving like a granny and paying attention to it. I’m in the mountains. I seem to be able to get better mpg driving ~45mph roads with occasional stop lights than I do on the highway so far (I guess due to inclines at higher speeds). If I just drive around not thinking about it it seems to be 17-18mpg.
Initially I thought it was way worse but then I realized that was because of the amount of time I had sat in the truck with it running in the drive way admiring it and playing with the radio ☺️

    Hi Friends,

So here's my situation and what I've done to improve. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where it's real cold all the time:

2019 TRD Sport Long bed / Double cab

    - 33 PSI cold on all 4 corners

    - I religiously only drive using the S shifter. I find it helps overcome the "transmission hunting for a gear" problem and it keeps the revs in control as you drive. I'll take off from 0 and shift up to 2nd manually @ 15km/h . Shift to 3rd manually @ around 25 km/h , Shift to 4th manually @ 40km/. Once im in 4th I don't feel bad giving more throttle. I'll force a low-rev shift into 5th at around 60km/h and I find it definitely helps consumption.

    - Same speal about intertia and hypermiling. Make sure you only throttle when necessary and use gravity/momentum to your advantage.

My new 2019 manual Sport has been averaging between 18-21 MPG in both city and highway driving. Only have aftermarket tires (same size as OEM) plus a K&N air filter, FWIW.

I just bought my 2020 2WD TRD Sport, and I've been staying right under 21MPG. I've put about 600 miles on it already. Would the type of fuel make a difference?

I've had my 19 trd OR since September, and I average 18-19 if I'm easy on the throttle. But i usually average 17 on almost every tank.

Comparison, first pic is 55mph, S5 mode, ECT off. Second, same stretch of road, 65mph, auto mode, ECT on.
