    I meant your tax bracket is close to 50%. Your self employed so hopefully you can write off everything you can to escape that.;)

    My last two fillups I've put in 91 over 87 and haven't seen any mpg or power difference. Your results may be different, but I'm switching back to 87.

    I figured as much. I tested it on my 97 reg cab and I got better results with 87.lol :rolleyes:

    I always get better mileage with 91 but that's because our VPower is still ethanol free here in Soviet Canada

    I will try it on my wifes 07 4runner. Same engine. I will go through 2 fill ups at 91 and report back. She averages around 16 now with 87.

    Edit: Thats 70% city

    I have filled up 4 times with 92 instead of 87; and have not seen any real increase in mpg. I think that I'll switch back to 87 and save myself the $3 - $4 extra per tank.

    it only took one tank of 93 for me to figure it was not worth it. Exact same drive every week to work and no diff in MPGs. I think people seeing increases are running ethanol free.

    Yeah I had several different kinds of driving, so I thought I'd wait it out and see. I just located an ethanol free pump near my regular commute route. It's 90 octane. I'm gonna try this next.

    To be honest, I really don't care about the mpg that much.

    I expected 16mpg when I bought the truck. I found that I could get 18mpg which was a short-lived bonus.

    When I put my 33" Duratracs on, I dropped down to 15-16mpg - my original expectations.

    But I am enjoying the experimental quest for better mpgs. At some point, I will quit tracking it and probably remove the 'fuelly' from my sig - it's inevitable.

    Please do prove it that's pretty close to a 11 to 15% increase that would mean there is no heat value to ethanol at all yet it does a pretty good job fueling race cars. The US quit hand out the subsidies several years ago.
