I only run 93 octane in my '05 Tacoma v6 190k mi. Should I occasionally put gas & or oil additives in & any recomendations?

Do you notice a big difference between 93 and 87/89? I know alot of people say it cuts down on knocking/pinging. I run 89 (that being midgrade in NC). I've never really noticed a big change between regular and premium. To answer your question though, i put in Lucas fuel system cleaner in about once every 6 months thats about it. I've run mobile 1 motor oil since day one and never had much issue. I dont think you need much additives on newer engines like the tacomas. just my opinion.

I run 2 stroke oil TCW3 at 2 oz per tank in my Taco. It lubes the whole fuel system and upper cylinders.

Don't know much about oil additives but, I use to work for a fuel injector company and none of those gas additives do anything.

I use Lucas fuel treatment at fill-ups. One small bottle per tank. I believe it keeps the pump and injectors lubricated and helps with upper cylinder lubrication. We run 10% ethanol here and I believe it helps negate any negative properties associated with ethanol. I have found that wally world has the best price for Lucas.

I run mobil1 5w-30 at 6000mi change intervals and don't use any oil additives. If I were to use one it would be a Lucas product.

I also have a 2005 Ford van with 200K miles on it. I use Marvel Mystery Oil as a fuel additive at every fill-up since it was new with no negative side-effects.
