Whats the deal with the gas pedal recall i got a letter about , it was kind of vague about what happens, but my guess it's how the floor mat likes to slide up onto the gas pedal and not let it come all the way back up? , can anyone verify that , cause i figured that happening was more my fault for not looking where my floor mat is

There is already a thread on this, Just search away. Someone even took the time to post pictures of the modified pedal.

Scratching my head too, Just subtract what you call "complaining" from the posts and you'll have your answer. It looks like they trim the bottom of the pedal to allow more clearance between the top of the mat and the bottom of the pedal. Without my crayons and Etch-a-Sketch, there is no easier way to explain this.

I bought my 2010 in Feb. The salesman told me that there was a recall on the mats and I would receive them in a month. Here it is almost August and no mats. the dealer gives no timeline nor does Toyota. I have now bought weather techs and will in no way allow my pedal to be chopped off. The thing with the mats that bothers me is that the dealer and Toyota seems to care. I am going to try and negotiate getting a reimbursement for my mats. If I was late on a payment they would hound me.
