I own a 05 Tacoma. Bought it brand new and if for some reason the pedal got stuck now. I would NOT blame Toyota for the issue.

You have a 05? lol. not a 2010 how is that possible that the older models have the same problem?

and even if you bought it from the Toyota Dealership brand new and its a 05. You shouldn't be having that problem. they stopped making 05's when the 06's came in like the 09's and the 10's

soon in August there will be the 11's

Here is the list of models that are involved in the sticking accelerator pedal recall so far, you can see the 05 Avalon is on the list already being recalled.
So if Toyota does recall the Tacoma 05s would more than likely be the first year Tacoma on the list.

    • Certain 2009-2010 RAV4*,
    • Certain 2009-2010 Corolla*,
    • 2009-2010 Matrix,
    2005-2010 Avalon,
    • Certain 2007-2010 Camry*,
    • Certain 2010 Highlander*,
    • 2007-2010 Tundra,
    • 2008-2010 Sequoia

I have 100K on my 2007 DC 4x4, my pedal sticks all the time. It usually happens when I hit that little botton on the end of the small stick to the bottom right of the steering wheel and push it down.....OH! WAIT that would be the cruise control..... My Bad.

Not at first, but if you made a public appearance, you know called the local news station while the patrol cars were catching up to you to tell you how to slow your vehicle down...well maybe then. Worth a shot, try it and let us know how it went. Ill be watching the news..

Only issues I've had is at 90,000 miles the front main seal started leaking and i took it in while under warranty. The clutch pedal squeaks when i push it in and the rear suspension creaks lol. Other than that Its been a great truck.

oooo for the rear suspension i think it might be dirt in your leaf springs because i went threw mud and what not and it started creaking and i just power washed it for a good 2 mins then wd-40 it and shook my truck for 2 mins then sprayed some more and it doesnt creak :) and about the clutch you could do the same i dont know if it would hurt it or anything so yeah :)
