How about 23 cents/gallon. A Friday night out on a buck for gas!
Now that's been a while ago.

I will stop driving my Taco when 3rd world countries like Sierra Leona and Somolia become tourist resorts...... Why use a shithole of a country when contrasting fuel cost. What is the price in Canada? why not list Russia or some other G8?

I want it cheap because I'm an American! I eat red meat, I drink beer, I look at internet porn!

Americans are risking life and limb for freedom and stability in Iraq and tha least they could do is kick down some black gold in exchange!

In other words, it should be cheap because the american people want it cheap!

I have altered my driving already, and I am looking at motorcycles and scooters. Living in Rochester, with such poor driving environment, two wheels are concerning me, but I see parking the truck and driving it when only needed.

I will continue to pay for gas in my truck until the cost of buying fuel doesn't fit into my budget anymore.

Have also thought about getting a small cc bike. Problem is the summer heat tops 125. I'd burst into flames over 25mph. Having the scangauge2 mpg has changed my habits. Last tank was 14.97gal.for 316.5 miles. Click too neutral while rolling down hill. S/G reads 85+mpg. This helps alot at the pump.Lovin my taco.

^I've been considering the Scangauge but $160 buys quite a bit of gas (not as much as it used to, of course). Don't know if I can justify the investment but, then again, I guess it pays off in the long run.

    ^Also a good point.

Ah, I'm just being careful with a child on the way and all. Being selective about my mods, I guess you can say. I'll definitely be picking this up at some point.

Trust me, unless you are going to use it hundreds of miles per month, you won't save any money. Bikes even little ones are money pits. Been there done that. They are for fun, not fighting the powers that be, that are causing us to support terrorism.. My 2 cents.

^True. Until we start coming up with REAL solutions, we'll be paying the price. "It's his fault!" "NO, it's HIS fault!" (i.e. Harry Reid today) does not help the situation. As long as we're dependent on foreign oil and not willing to drill on our own land or come up with other solutions, we'll continue to be dependent.

i dont know why our dollar is that weak! I have never seen it this weak ever!
the pound and euros are worth double!! Blows for us, good for the euro fruits!

$5 already exist in Cali... actually is $5.40... a small gas station on Pacific Highway on North Cali... so now what we going to do? pay for it.

Dude, I have been there! That place is a freakin ripoff, you have to go back to Monterey county or south to san simeon if you don't wanna pay! I asked the wierdo at the register what the deal was and he says "If you don't want it don't buy it ...... good luck finding another station" jesus what a dick! That place was $3.00 when San Jose was $1.25. There is a nice hotel behind it though.

The reason for the weak dollar across the board is our trade deficit.

Taxes. Tax rates in Europe are RIDICULOUS. 50% income tax in Germany, 40%+ in France, of course gas will be high, too.

The dollar is coming back up. Check it since last Thursday. There are a lot of factors involved in this, not the least of which is sending all our money overseas and not buying American made products.
