gas problems

    super 40 flowmaster turned down before rear axle, k&n intake, ipod interface, 20% 3m tint all the way around, grill craft mx series grill with 2 hella 500 behind the grill, 2 55 watt halogens mounted on uws black low profile toolbox, 3'' toytec ultimate lift kit sitting on black xd monsters and 285/65/18 BFG A/T, HID headlight kit
    I have a 2005 v6 4x4 long bed sport taco and i have been getting worse and worse gas milage, the filter is clean, it went from 20mpg to 16mpg to 14mpg and on my last tak i got 11mpg :eek: and its not my foot i have been keeping it around 2k and still crap for gas milage...... any ideas on whats wrong?

    winter blend gas maybe...i get noticeably worse gas mileage in the winter too.

    you may have a few plugs that arent sparking very well or (as mentioned before) winter gas, its always a bit thicker....

    winter air is more dense also. takes more fuel to get the mix right. i've been buring a 1/4 tank a week just letting it warm up in the morning.

    Yeah im def noticing a difference this winter, Not quite as bad as 11 MPG... But shes holding 16ish alright. But i am a New Yorker in Arkansas and cant exactly call this a winter.

    Maybe you need a tune up. I always thought that in the colder months gave you better gas mileage or maybe Im thinkin about better performance. I dunno.

    Same here . . . around 15 mpg but typically between 19 & 20. Credit the decrease to winter gas blend, letting the truck warm up, and using 4wd at least once or twice per tank due to weather.

    ys this is true my truck runs from 5 - 15 min before i drive it and allot of 4x4. So i guess its not 2 bad then.
