    I'm glad it worked out, but just for reference, there is such a thing as plastic welding(i think that's what it's called). I once accidentally drilled a hole into a gas tank on a corvette while trying to mount an amp behind the seat. The shop repaired the hole in 10-15min and it's been fine ever since.
