Have you done a search for TRD intake on here? Should turn up plenty of threads.

That myth has been busted many many times. Just google it. Type of vehicle does not matter much as long as it is a modern vehicle. Type of "CAI" does not matter either.

The truth? Your Tacoma already has a cold air intake. Stock. Adding a different one MIGHT net you a HP, maybe two depending on altitude and barometric pressure and temperature that day. If you want to talk about Schrodinger's cat, ask the CAI manufacturer if the filtration media is as good as the OEM filter and has the same micron rating and dirt holding capacity. They will immediately change the subject and talk about something important, like how much better theirs look lol.

Stick with the OEM, or believe a van driver. Your choice, but take a look at your thread and see how many people believe you. Nobody.

I have, but it seems just like everyone in this particular thread, everyone has their own opinion about things. Everyone also has different driving habbits.

I have an aFe CAI, pretty sure I've lost mpg after installing it because
as most do, I push the pedal down that much harder to hear that
    sweet sound. :D

    "people believe you. Nobody."

I never asked anyone to believe me, i even stated in my original post, take it for what it's worth to you. If it's true, then I'm glad I shared it, if not, that's fine, move along. I can't afford a COI right now anyway so it doesnt benefit me in any way.

If you want a different sound, save up and get one. You will probably see a DECREASE in efficiency because you will give it more gas to hear the sound lol. If you want the most efficient Tacoma, keep it completely stock.

You know I'm not sure. With Tundras, best one is stock- which has been proven. I've heard of Airaid, but not familiar enough with them.

This is why I use OEM.

Had a CAI on my dodge truck awhile ago. Sounds good when that turbo spooled up but could almost see through the filter.

Old school old timers who have "seen it all" with little known tips and tricks for miraculous improvements in performance are unfortunately one of the best places to get bad information.

He's not just a shuttle driver. He gets a commission on parts sales. :D

The only thing TRD about TRD stuff is the defunct SC.

Everything else is just bling. But it's rumored the oil fill cap will extend OCIs about 5k.
