There is absolutely positively a Zero chance the TRD Intake is going to gain 2-3 MPGs, Toyota bends over backwards to try to meet EPA Standards, if it did every new Tacoma would come with it.

Its funny how the older mechanics are always stuck in the old and lot of times wrong ways.

 

using midgrade will not help performance unless you need it..89 is harder to burn compared to 87 so you need more compression or more timing to make use of it...its a waste if you dont

 

These newfangled 3rd Gen trucks AUTOMATICALLY adjust timing to allow for different octanes. Imagine that!
