Gaskets Vs FIPS

    Ok, so i am in the middle of doiong work on my 98 tacoma (read other threads) and I am coming across a delima that i need so assisatance with... do i use gaskets or FIPS? i know what the book calls for, but are gaskets "good enough". Thanks.

    Lets see, oil pan, oil pump, timing chain cover, maybe water pump, stuff like that....

    Oil pan. FIPG for sure.

    I'd use gasket on pump

    Timing chain cover FIPG and water pump.

    Get Toyota FIPG. It's great quality and cheap.
