    Hey guys ,
I just traded one of my diesel trucks on a left over 2018 Toyota Land Cruiser , here in the USA we get the 5.7 basiclly same as Tundra Power .
The gasoline business is nothing but liers and cheats not sure how you trust one gas station over another .
You see the same truck going from BP to Sunoco ... Sunoco just buys fuel on the open market I have a friend works in philadelphia processing plant ad they have not cracked fuel in years , its cheaper to buy it and make money in the retail store than process fuels .
I told by BP corporate when I inquired about gasoline at a specific station as long as the station meets a fuel quallity they can buy there fuel anywhere ... Oh and pay there franchise frees .
What really sucks is GOV mandates blended gasoline basiclly with no choice , I know Florida and Hawaii you can get non-ethanol fuel .
There were a few places in NJ that claimed non ethanol but got caught , was selling gimmick was 10% blended and that's easily checked with food dye .
Am I the only one with this gasoline problem .
What brand are you guys trusting ?

I don't think its going to matter where you get your gas, its a Toyota 5.7 not a Ferrari v12

I use used peanut oil from doughnut shops. Runs like crap but smells awesome.

Oh wait, that’s not your question.
I use cheap shit from Cumby’s. These trucks run fine on blended oldword goat piss.

Gas is explosive. I don't trust any of it. That said, I get all mine in Hawaii.

Not sure what your point is. Gasoline is gasoline is gasoline. The basic refined gasoline from the refineries is exactly the same across brands. So Chevron is the same as BP is the same as Shell is the same as 76 and so on. The difference between brands is the additives each put in their gasoline. The government mandated blends are another topic but the basic gasoline is the same across brands before they start blending things into the fuel. So if you get gas at say Chevron and go across the street and get gas at Sunoco you get the same gasoline including the mandated blend, only the additives are different. Chevron thinks their additive Techron is the best in the world. That additive is expensive too produce and that is why Chevron is generally more expensive than other brands. Different company tanker trucks often fill their trucks from the same tanks. It’s the additives that make it Chevron brand or BP brand and so on. For me I buy my gas where ever it is the cheapest. It’s almost all tier 1 gasoline and to be tier 1 you have to have a certain amount of additives added to the gasoline. In rare cases some cars may run better on one brand of gas than another. It is not the basic refined gasoline that causes this but is the additives. Anyway I still don’t know what the OP’s point is, I just tried to clarify a few things concerning our gasoline.

My point was having 3 Tundras I have noticed a difference in the 5.7 running different brands or what you thought was that brand .
I have been running diesel trucks for the past few years was just wondering what everyone is running in there toyota products ?
Here is a pic of gas from a few different fuel stations all 93 octane ... these days Ethanol is a cheap way to raise the octane rating .
My understanding was shell sand Chevron are the best for the additives .
Thanks for the heads up .

You haven't stated what 'your' problem is yet.

While everything you said is true, how is it detrimental to the truck?

PS, 93 shown in your photo is a waste of money unless that's what the manual requires.

I attempt to run Chevron 93... sometimes in a pinch I use Exxon or shell.

I get my gas at those places with the pumps out front. Been doing that for 40 years with no problem.
    What was your question?
