Just installed the Gator Evo last night. Hard bi fold cover. Wondering what owners of this cover think of it? First question I have is ...... How tight is to tight when they say don't over tighten? And next question is...... Has anyone ever taken a heat gun to the outside seals on the flush mount to lay them down just a bit better? (Obviously not high high amount of heat, but just enough to warm and push a little flatter)

Should the cover frames be even with the bulk head bar or even with the bed side frame? There is just enough height difference between the two to prompt this question in regards to make me wonder about water tight seals.

Drain tubes installed, ran through has station car wash. There corners where I figured would be an issue were an issue. Granted a high pressure car wash. The last picture is showing unless improvised, will not allow you to use clears or other tie downs. The side seals did not leak. Just the corners.

Yours looks a little different than my Gator.

I wouldn’t tighten them so much that it creates an indent on the topside.

Had rain from about 4am until 1:30 this afternoon. Went out to see and water coming in the corners. Bulkhead worse than anything. Folded cover back, loosened clamps and tightened a slight turn past snug. Before tightening I brought tailgate side right up to tailgate.

Pics from this morning and after just a snug tightening. Along with the holes in the bulkhead side.

I just received this cover today. It's raining outside, but I'll let you know my findings when its all said and done. I actually came here looking for install advice before I started. Got this thing from realtruck for $550. Not a bad price if it all works out.

I notice mine still gets a touch in the corners, nothing horrible. Simple foam seal for bulkhead will work just fine . Auto parts store will have what you need. Mine didn't come with one. Only thing I don't like is how the bracket covers the cleat attachments. With the cover I don't really need to use them though . Silicone the bulkhead corners where you find openings if not needing to take it off.

Also, once installed plan on adjusting again until you get the right fit. I used a heat gun on the edge seals just to lay them down a bit better. After having it on for a couple months they flatten nicely once sitting in the sun for a day or two.
