So I'm pretty sure I'm dead set on getting a Gator soft tri-fold cover for my third gen, but can't decide on the base level or pro level.

Have any of you seen both, or can provide pros/cons to each? From what I read the difference is stainless hinge pins, tougher vinyl material, and from the pictures I've seen the rear closure latch is different. There's a $100 difference between the two variants and just don't want to regret my purchase.

It will be experiencing full Florida fun so no snow, mostly just rain and a murderous ball of fire in the sky. Not looking to go hard top cover at this time. I've seen good reviews on both, just not many comparisons on if upgrade is worth it or if base is good enough.
