Can someone please tell me the bulb size for the D (PRND21) light in the gauge cluster? I need it to pass inspection and would like to order it prior to pulling the dash apart.

    Anyone?

I have even called 2 different dealers and they want me to bring the bulbs to them so they can match them up because they are not sure.

Should be a 194, no need to order the whole unit from dealer just pull bulb out of socket and replace.

Ok so the parts store doesn't carry the bulbs for the indicator... Perhaps I should go the super bright led direction. Are there different sizes for the Neowedge bulb and if so which one should I get?

its a 74 I replaced mine about 8 months ago with a blue one thats only for the floor shifter though... If you have a column shift then it should be a 194

It's a column mounted shifter. So the 194 lights up the gear indicator too? I thought it was just for the background lighting.

You need the Neowedge Type B bulb. I also have a column shifter and I had to replace the D bulb in the gear indicator.
The 194 bulbs light the gauges in the cluster, not the gear indicator. The gear indicator uses a separate bulb for each gear since they have to light individually to show the selected gear.

Thank you TBA. What size Neo Wedge Type B did you get? It seems like there are three sizes.

As far as I know, Type B is the size. There are Type A, B and C. I've also seen them referenced as T3, T4 and T5 respectively.

Did you buy the bulb at the dealer or parts store? I believe the T3,T4, T5 represents 3, 4, or 5 mm size.

Last question TBA. Did you order a clear bulb or was it colored? Meaning is the gear selector panel transparent or does it have a multicolored screen behind it? I am ordering bulbs as soon as I hear back from you.

The panel is transparent. The color comes from the bulbs.
