Gauge Cluster Lights Delay Issue

My gauge cluster lights have a solid 1 second delay between when i turn the switch on, and when they actually light up... but only when the engine is on.

The lights turn on immediately when my truck is in accessory mode.

What could this be? I've checked the fuse and for any loose connections but haven't found anything obvious. I have quite a few aftermarket electronics, though.
