Recently my gauge cluster went out of calibration. So I borrowed a scan gauge, hooked it to my odb connector, and dismantled the dash. I took all the needles off the cluster and placed them to the value the scan gauge reflected. Not a huge problem, all the needles were calibrated at this point. This morning I turn on the truck to find that the needles stopped as if they were in a short circuit jerking around, then moved to random values. Now everything is out of calibration again. Does anyone have any clue why the needles would do this? Could it be the motor inside the cluster? Any insight or ideas is appreciated.
