I am currently investigating the adhesive durability of vinyl decals on the OEM and other textured polycarbonate mudguards. The textured surface of these mudguards is not as ideal as painted surfaces but the cast vinyl that I use for the tailgate inserts could last up to five years or more. If there is enough interest I could soon offer "4x4" and "4WD" matte white decals for the rear mudguards. These will match the respective logos used on the 1st and 2nd gen Tacomas.

    Anybody interested?

Did this ever happen? I really want the 4WD decal on my mudguards.

Not yet. I did not get much interest, plus there are already sources for similar decals on eBay. The decals I am currently offering are keeping me very busy (I do have a full time job) so I probably will not be making these.

I'd be interested in removing the crappy TRD Sport 4X4 stickers on the side of the box if I could fine a similar thing in BLACK, and not white, etc...

Maybe even a better sticker... with a little more flare..!!

I've had a test decal applied to one of my OEM mud guards for several months now and the adhesion still looks rock solid. Since I now have a 4x4 template from my new debadge replacement decal sets I can easily cut some matte white 951 vinyl 4x4 decals for the mudguards.

Any interest? Let me know! Bueller...Bueller?

I didn't get much interest the first time I posted this, but since I now have the 4x4 template and I can get the matte white vinyl in smaller quantities I thought I'd try again.

How about a "FWD" mudguard decal for the new Ridgeline?

I bet some Ridgeline owners would love to troll the "off-road image" crowd.

Would they also fit the Husky WeatherBeaters as well? I haven't measured the exact size, but it looks similar to the WeatherTech inserts.

This may not happen soon. I am having issues with the transfer of the decals to the plastic mud guards. I've had a simple decal applied since December to test the adhesion with no issues. However, the more complex 4x4 requires transfer tape to apply the entire decal as one. Unfortunately, the transfer tape that I am using is not releasing the decals onto the surface of the mudflaps. I will try testing a lower tack transfer tape but can't say when I will have time to do that.

I bought a set of reflective white 4X4 from ebay the have been holding up great on my weather tech mud guards. I installed on brand new mud guards washing the surface first with 90% alcahol. Been stuck in place for 3 months now.
