Just dropping a feeler, but if there is enough interest, maybe we could get something started.

I thought for the first time around, we could just do a "Meet and Greet" somewhere.

If that went well, we could later meet for some Off Road adventure..

One thing at a time though, let's just see if there is enough interest.

Want to get together, show off your ride, meet some of the other Tacoma members from here ?

Assuming Weekends are the best, would you rather go for a Saturday or a Sunday ?

Want to meet up in a place of our own (like Hooters for example), or meet at an organized car show ?

    What are your thoughts ?

I'm up for it, if I can bring my '95 4Runner. The only off-road places I know of (The Mounds, Rock and Valleys) are too hardcore for my rig. I did see that Rocks and Valleys has a Toyota Day on their webpage, but no date.

I'd be in for a meet up, or some trails. My truck is stock and I've never played around here in MI.

My girl is from the UP and knows of a bunch of trails up there. Also would be down to meet up and do some grilling or something. There's also always tigers games?

Sadly, the days of wheeling in mid Michigan area are gone. I limit myself to forest service trails around Cadillac/wellston area. You rarely need 4 wheel drive. I will admit running these trails with the tundra sucks. The Tacoma rocks.

Subbed to see who else chimes in.

Depending on how far it is away from where I'm at, I'd be down for a meet up.

They're building a 4x4 park just north of Clarkston. Should be up and running next spring.

I'd be interested... if we're talking something like a meet and greet, color tour type thing I'd be very interested bringing the truck... If it's a real offroading event I'll bring the buggy... Hopefully some of you guys aren't planning on an on-road + offroading event because I definitely can't do both.

Honestly, I think we are just "spinning our wheels". There just is not enough Tacoma trucks in the state. Go to other states and the number of Tacoma's will astound you.

I'm not going to drive 90 miles to drive around dunes or trails to meet up with someone I've never met. Maybe others will, but I don't see it being realistic.

11 posts in 6 days? Doest look good. Sorry to be pessimistic.

I mean it's Michigan hah. I never expected that many people to be active. That being said I see a shocking number of Tacoma's around me in Detroit. There are 3 that take the same route as me on the way to work. Usually see 1-2 other ones per day. I requested some of the TW stickers to see if we could get the word out.

I'm definitly down. Like I said, a "color tour" as it would be called might be fun. I can look into group buy tigers tickets if people are interested, or there's always camping just about anywhere. Idk, I lived on the road in the back of my truck for a couple of years before returning to Michigan so I'm pretty used to driving lol.

I also wouldn't mind knowing some local people with the same trucks. I always have questions and no one around me drives a tacoma haha. Also, never a bad idea for parts swap. Just a thought.

Figured I'd start with you all since you're localish. I've got a brand new Bridgestone Dueler HT 265/65R17 that needs a home. $40 just outside of Detroit. It came off my spare so it has the standard spare marks, otherwise undriven. Pm me if interested.

I'm new here on TW but think this is s great idea and I'm willing to take the lead on this one or assist any way I can. I've been scouting trails in my 1990 Hilux for a couple years and found several fun trails and country / seasonal roads that won't scratch or harm my new baby. Our two favorite places have been just south of Houghton Lake either / both sides of M-18 and we have found lots of good trail in the Manistee National Forest.
There are also a few nice but small / short areas very near my home here in Coleman / Midland
The picture shown is a seasonal stretch of Eastman Road heading to Gladwin and there's some pretty ok trails there too.
Even if it's only six or eight of us it would be a good start and I bet it would grow from there. Let's all meet at my local Mexican restaurant and enjoy some tacos.

I'm booked till August 22 / 23 and that's just over a month to plan and prepare.
How many would like to try and meet that weekend.
What spot would be better / closer? Big rapids or Houghton Lake (suggestions welcome)

I just did some of the forest roads around Big Rapids last week and my mostly stock truck didn't have any issues, so that might be a good spot.
