Just found out the $6k rims that came on the 2005 911 I bought recently are fake three-piece :(, but at least they're forged.

Had mine for about 6 months and love them so far. The only negative thing I heard when researching was tread life was poor, but since my truck is basically a trail rig that didn’t matter to me

Only driven on pavement so far but man, are they quiet. Can't even tell they're mud tires.

All going to depend on every other mod you have. Tire size, lift, alignment specs

I have about a 2/2.5 inch lift up front and run 285’s currently on factory FJ wheels and have zero rub issues

With any wheel that’s that wide (-38mm) you’re going to have rubbing issues. I’d be surprised if you didn’t with anything bigger than a 265/70.

Your going to rub. Exacto knife and a good alignment. Max the caster at the LCA then adjust from up top.

You’ll probably end up rubbing at the cab mount, possibly the pinch weld. If I recall back when I had 285’s and wheel spacers, that’s where my issues were. These rims pushing the tires out wider will cause you to rub in those spots, especially off road. One thing to help that would be to increase the castor in your alignment if your suspension setup allows you to.

Upgraded from the 17x8.5 -10 Ray 10's to the 17x9 -38 in Matte Dark Bronze. Absolutely LOVE them. A lot of trimming is needed up front vs virtually zero compared to the -10's. Love the poke.

Looks awesome. I plan to switch out my -10 SR8s for some -38 bronze Ray10s myself. You have to do a more aggressive CMC? You have aftermarket UCAs to help caster? I want to do this, but want to have the least amt of cutting/trimming as possible. What suspension set up you go with?

Thank you! I didn't have to do a more aggressive CMC, this setup clears it just barely (285/70/17.) I have JBA high caster UCAs and suspension is Bilstein 5100 with OME 888 springs.
