The stance looks great. May I ask what was the reasoning behind switching up to -38 (Besides the wider stance)? I purchased 17 x 9 Brushed Gold Ray 10s back in October and am saving up towards 285/70/17 tires (Haven't decided on the brand yet). My suspension is stock so I know I need an upgrade in that department as well besides CMC. Thanks for posting your suspension details. This would give me an idea on what to expect. If you don't mind posting a picture of front view so we can see the poke?
    Safe Ride.

The reason was 100% for aesthetics. I wanted the deeper dish, more poke, and I wanted to switch from black wheels to bronze. If anything going with the -38 over the -10's added more work to my plate with getting the front situated for no rubbing. Alignment, proper trimming/plastic molding, and a quality CMC is needed to fit them. Here are a few pictures below. 50D69F3D-4CD1-448D-BFBD-1D970646ECFC.jpg4B331C8B-BB6B-4F00-80BA-C05E2C7303E5.jpg

@laurence That poke on the 17x9 makes for a beastly stance. At first I didn't want to do a CMC, but the more I look at the stance, the more I'm leaning towards the 17x9. Do you have a shot from directly in front and directly in back?

Also what lift are you running?

Suspension setup? And parts installed? Just trying to figure it out, I bought the rims about a month ago and haven’t decide yet.

is it possible to go no rub, with a two inches lift on a 275/70/17 tire? And no UCA?

I wish I could decide between black scs ray10s and gunmetal F5’s. This picture only makes the decision harder

Is anyone here running 35x12.5 tires on their -38's? I'm curious to see how much poke they have. Seems like it'll just be excessive work to get that size tire with this wheel spec to fit.

I believe I've seen some post somewhere, maybe here, without to much trouble. My truck doesnt want to play nice with larger tires and seems to not do as well as others experience. Mine rubs the firewall already with 285/70's(32.76"x11.5") when stuffing with the wheels turned. I will likely have to tub the firewall if/when I go to 35's or bigger.

I figured I would have to tub the firewall. I'm on 285/70 with the -38's as well. Did a solid alignment, pinch welds, and CMC and even at full flex wheeling pretty much zero rubbing besides on a little plastic.

While he sold the tacoma a few months ago, Kenny https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/kennys-build-beers-and-bs.595331/ had 35x12.5's and rubbed the fire wall basically the same as I do on my 285's. Looked great though! He did have a cab mount reolocate to help with clearance. I have one of those to install someday also.

Anyone running 37’s with these that can provide a photo of how much I gotta chop off to make them fit? I know @snowsk8air2 is running them, anyone else?
