The T4 tent with a nice cot is hard to beat. I have the REI kingdom (only downside is the packed up size)

I have the Green T4 and Blue T3. Eyeing the G6 Deluxe Gazebo. I've carried the T4 inside the short-bed with tailgate close by having it go diagonal on top of other items packed. But now I use the bed extender and no issue. I have the roof rack but oddly enough I haven't tried that option yet. Not sure how I feel about transporting it in the weather or how secure it would be up there.

I carry my T4 on the roof rack in their waterproof “overland bag” without issue.

Both of my tents have the overland bags as well. Good to know. Do you use bungee cords or webbing straps to secure them (keep them from sliding)?

Ratchet straps. Always make sure I route it through the handle of the bag so even if it really slips it won’t totally be lost. Never had an issue though.
