    Got em out and the new retard gears back in, Supercharger all bolted back on. Had a panic moment when the cam moved when the gear was out, but because I had rotated the engine until the painted link was in place at TDC, and I was holding the timing chain on the other side, and the new gear was toothed in correctly, I was able rotate the cam back until the cam pin fit into the new gear key way and call it good. Letting it sit overnight so all the RTV on my SC can cure.

    Test drive went well. No warning or CEL lights. I have to be pretty gentle on my clutch right now, (it's about to give up) so I couldn't really mash it about and see if I notice any power gains. First impressions though are my truck idles and runs a LOT smoother. From throttle at speed to clutch in and coast, the engine also seems much happier, not as ragged on the down revs.

    @mightytacoman having done the install I now understand the reasoning of the bevel in a back. It was bothering me, and I though it was random at first, but if it served no purpose, why the back? Very smart choice.

    Thanks buddy! I try to keep incredibly tight tolerances with this kinda work. Without the bevel- the install is just that much harder.

    Currently gets over 20 mpg on the highway with CC on. Any thoughts?

    I would say do it. It's a cheap mod that helps your engine out a lot by letting it be more efficient.

    My exhaust also picked up a better tone. Slightly louder. This makes sense though.
