I think 3/8-16 stud for positive and 5/16-18 stud for negative. But I am not sure.

Yes, it is different than the prototype pictured. The logo cutout on the prototype caused the lid to flex and the sharp edges of the letters to stick up. The final design is stronger and safer.
I let everyone know that the design was slightly changed a few posts down but I realize that may not be as easily seen and I should have made that clearer in the OP. If for any reason you are not happy with what you received let me know and I will do whatever I can to be sure that you 100% satisfied

Nah, I appreciate the offer. :) Once I scrolled back a few pages looking at pictures I realized something had changed for them all. I joined the thread many pages in, so I'm sure I missed the explanation.

Is everyone priming theirs before painting?

I found a self-etching primer I had and am giving it a shot. We'll see.

Tyler, the cage fits beautifully and holds the battery very securely, good job. I do have a suggestion though. I would like to see the top plate be narrower. As it sits the positive accessory terminal is pretty close to the top plate. I did have the wing nut fall out of my hand and bridge between the top plate and the accessory terminal. I got to see some nice sparks fly, but I didn't release any of that blue smoke. :D

You can see the burnt spot near the terminal.

Thank you for the feedback. I can see where additional clearance around that studded terminal may be beneficial. This will likely be a change to come on future production runs. Appreciate it

I was also going to make this suggestion. The wing nut is just big enough to span the gap...I had a close call, but no sparks :D I might switch to a nut to minimize the possibility. More than happy with the craftsmanship and fit of this thing though!

    Not sure exactly

    Wikipedia also says:
    Marine battery terminals[edit]

Marine batteries typically have two posts, a 3/8"-16 threaded post for the positive terminal, and a 5/16"-18 threaded post for the negative terminal.
