Currently running 358 gear (A02A/A340E)with 265/70-17 tire. Will changing to a 410 gear give me better take off. As I said in previous posts, besides the fair gas mileage,my 2015 double cab 2.7 prerunner automatic has absolutely no take off from a stop.im beginning to feel like it's becoming a safety issue. for example, one would not buy a motorcycle that is too small to get out of its own way.any suggestions?

News for you: If you have a prerunner like you claim, you have 4.1, not 3.58.
3.58 would be for a 5-lug (smaller wheels).

Slower acceleration is NOT a safety hazard. **SPEED** is a safety hazard. If you want to be safe, SLOW DOWN.

Trade for a manual, automatics so unsafe, so very unsafe.

They actually are. Or at least CAN be. Especially when you're driving in slippery conditions.
For example; try to accelerate gently (maybe passing somebody, maybe climbing a hill), thing decides to downshift, lose traction and roll into a ditch. That *CAN'T* happen with a manual, which will hold its gear until you say so -- NEVER an unexpected gear change.
