I wish. I should end up with similar travel numbers though, just not the same ride quality.

Haha tracks would be badass! I'm going to shorten it 7" and inboard the springs. I do need a trac bar too though..

Sweet! I was going to shorten mine up a few years ago, but that project has been sidelined until the rear frame rots off. Post up lots of pics! There was some threads on TTORA about this, IKE in the Colorado forum did it, and Tim Buddah did as well. IKE has a build thread on it, and Tim has a thread but none of the pics work. I'm curious to see how in boarding the springs works out.

Will do man, it should be pretty straight forward though. The hardest part will be shortening the frame and sliders.
Thanks man! Wish I had more money to throw at it right now lol

Yea they show how they beefed up the frame where they cut it and what not. Might as well copy what they have done lol! That or you tube out the rear of the truck.

I don't have the factory frame from the cab back so I shouldn't have to beef it up too much. For the front spring hanger I'm going to build a bracket shaped like the number 4 so that it catches both the bottom and inside of the frame. Should be plenty strong. I still have to figure out how to brace the rear shackle mounts but I've got to figure out where I'm putting them first. I'd love to just chop it off from the cab back and tube and link it but I just don't want to spend the money right now. Maybe after I get my student loans and other truck paid off

I have some bobbed bedsides but after this I'll have to bob the front of them too. And for you it would be much easier to shorten the frame. All you'd have to do is throw a crossmember in towards the rear and cut off the excess you don't need. For me, I didn't want to redo the "bumper" tube, hitch, and tail light sections so I'm taking the length from a different area. Now I have to figure out how to get it lined back up by myself so I cant weld it...

Edit: Oo I just thought of an idea on how to get it lined back up haha.

How much would a set of Kings with a good amount of travel cost for a D44 that might possibly be going under a tacoma? :spy:
