Looks like you can get away with 3 round u-bolts and 1 square. Or just do the u-bolt eliminator like you said above.

I should have done this, my spartan locker is a PITA with my duals and a 5spd, i may just do this when i do my SAS. Yea i drive to the trails and around town, but its no longer a DD so i don't care. The 12bolt mini spool fits in there as well with some minor grinding.

If I do a spool I'd do a full spool but its $350 and there's only one place making them

Yeah that's what I thought at first but rotating the axle screws everything up. I'd have to take a pic from the side so you can see what I mean.

So plates get welded to the axle perch and then run your bolts through there?

That's just an example. You can buy a kit with a wider perch and plate already drilled.

Knocked out the third today. Ran into a few issues.. new ring gear is much thicker than the factory 4.10 so I had to clearance the diff housing on both sides. Also after about 3 pinion shim changes I realized that there was still some of the sticky grease residue they put on new gears on the head of the pinion that I missed when cleaning them. This caused the pinion to run deeper than it should and I was getting conflicting patterns. Cleaned it up and after a few more pinion shim changes I was happy with the pattern I got. Just have to weld it up now and it'll be ready to go!

A buddy of mine built a press brake and hadn't made anything with it yet so of course I wanted to try it out lol. We fabbed up my u-bolt eliminators which are the last piece to this puzzle and I can finally start putting things back together.

I honestly haven't thought that far. I'm sure I can come up with something. I'm hoping the extra width will let me mount them outside the frame but we shall see
