Really should only have to pull the rear case, if you broke an input it would have been that one. Time for some chromo stuff. You running 21 or 23 spl cases?

My front one is cracked up around the shifter seat and the rear case leaks bad so I have always told myself if/when I snap an input I'll reseal them. And it was just 21 spline. 23 spline and I probably wouldn't have broken anything

Buy a trans jack. I think i paid $200 for the big red one from northern tool. I have used it a ton, and you will if you have duals, and it comes in handy for a ton of other stuff. F benching those case in and out of there. Need to get the 23spline total spline marlin input!!

Hey if you need the crawl box "coupler" (its the main shaft the gears are on in the crawl box and where rear case input plugs into) i have an old AA/inchworm 23spline one that has never been run i found in my closet. Post up a pic of the one you have, it may work for you.

Make sure you coat the inputs in anti seize when you put them back together, it will prevent them from fretting and stripping out. Red grease wont stick to them, but anti seize will.

This is the one i have, however it was made by big red when i bought it. Its nice because you can strap the trans or tcase down and then rotate it on all axis's and you don't have to worry about it falling off. Much easier than trying to bench it up there and stab it on in one shot.

Might end up just ordering TG 23 spline gears... Don't know if I can wait on Marlin to stock theirs. They're always out..

    Stock-ish
    So irritating...

I was ready to give Marlin or Inchworm money for gears and adapters but neither could give me a timeline for parts to be in stock after a month of waiting. Had to just say, screw it, and order TG 23 spline and adapters that were at my door 3 days later

I'm going to call tomorrow and see if they will just sell me a 23 spline 4.70 input and a new coupler

This right here is 95% of the reason that im flipping a toyota axle and not just swapping in a rhd dual setup. I would like to actually wheel the truck within the next year or so, not waiting on parts from marlin while the trucks on jackstands.

@Gear Head: they did that for me when i stripped my coupler and input out 8yrs ago (holy fuck cant believe its been that long).

I'm going to get with the shop who was going to send the broken input in to be warrantied and see if he can get them to send me a 23 spline input and coupler under warranty instead of another 21 spline. If they wont I'm not even going to send it in since I'm going to 23 spline anyways.

I appreciate you looking out but I think I'm going to hold off for a bit. I found another 82 I want and I picked up another rc crawler and have already dropped $1k into it.... haha.
