Coming out of Shipwreck. All the smoke in the beginning is from a massive 4 wheel burnout for which the camera malfunctioned...

Yea he found out Friday that they need his truck by the end of the month. He hurt his upper back pretty bad and needed help getting all his aftermarket chit off.

So that was the fun, here is the carnage. Melted the harness that goes to the MAF, igniter, distributer, oil pressure sensor, thermostat, and ac condenser. Thankfully I got to my extinguisher quickly and it only burned for about 45 sec to a minute.

Got hot enough to scorch the paint

Maybe if I didn't wheel with two lightweights! Or had my own winch... Guess that's going on the list

Hell I'd just repair what you got. That's not nearly as bad as expected. Hopefully nothing sorted in the ecu. Also I really like my superwinch 9500sr, granted I haven't had to use it yet. But for under 500 bucks to have a winch with a sealed contactor, made in usa rope, easier free spin handle than warn, and better drum and brake setup as well.

Yeah I stripped the harness back today. Going to cut behind the melted places, solder in new wire, and re-route things away from the turbo.

Oh and I ordered a turbo blanket to help protect things from the heat.

Worth it though, i mean you could be hanging off that on a hillclimb or something.

Saying that i paid 400 new for mine, new warns are crazy expensive now!

I would totally buy a Warn if i could do it over again. I hate my Smittybilt 9500 xrc comp. Even with good grease it jams sometimes so I can't free spool in the cold. Not to mention line speed while under heavy load is pretty slow.

Hey you run 63" Chevy springs right? Are you happy with the amount of lift they provide? I want them to roughly match my TG SAS with 3" springs... I can take my current pack apart and use some of those as AAL's for the chevy's or just run a big ass shackle now to lift my rear end up a few more inches? From my basic numbers I need 2.5 more inches rear lift over what I have now.

I'm actually running TG 3" springs with my 3 leaf + overlaod 63's and I sit pretty damn level. Granted I'm extremely light in the rear so you may be a little different having a full bed.

And just to give you and idea of height with those springs I'm sitting at 27" to the frame on 40's.

Well the moo cow is up and running again. Snipped out the burned wire, soldered in new wire and rerouted things away from the turbo, replaced 2 blown fuses and it fired right up.
